“Mommy! Mommy!” a little voice said and you felt the hem of your shirt being pulled.
You smiled down at the child beside you. “Yes, sweetie?”
Your daughter looked at you, (your e/c or Al’s e/c) orbs wide and curious. “Mommy, how did you meet Daddy?”
You blushed at the question asked to you. Fortunately, Alfred came in and carried your child, making her giggle loudly. “Daddy!” she said gleefully. It melted your heart to see them look so adorable. The face of your child turned serious once again and she placed her small hands on the face of her Daddy. “Daddy, how did you meet Mommy?”
A grin bloomed in Alfred’s face. “Well, it all started like this…”
~Flashback brought you by Gumball’s dad XD~
Alfred was walking down the street, his hands on his pockets, enjoying the view in front of him and the wind in his hair. Where is he going, you ask? But to Burgers and Pancakes (lol, I’m sorry, this is the best fast food chain name I can think of XD) of course!
Meanwhile, a certain (h/c) girl was going to be late. “Excuse me, sorry, move, out of the way please!” you finally got past the group in front of you. You huffed and muttered, “Honestly, people these days.” You broke into a sprint, only to be stopped by some guy who looked like he was sight-seeing. You groaned. “Oh come ooon.” You composed yourself and pushed past him, saying a quick “Excuse me.” before running again.
Al was confused. What the hell was that?
You finally arrived at Burgers and Pancakes (where a certain blonde was also headed to). You fist-pumped as you enter. “Fuck yeah!” you said a little bit too loudly, earning stares from some of the people eating. You blushed and quickly hurried to the staff room to change. After changing, you quickly hurried to the counters. Well, another Saturday at Burgers and Pancakes, you thought.
Alfred finally arrived at Burgers and Pancakes. He breathed in. oh, the lovely smell of deep fried food. He quickly went over to the counters, where there was quite a long line. He mentally facepalmed. He should have walked faster, seeing that it was nearly lunch time. He would have to wait longer than he wanted to.
Finally after what seemed like a million years (really, it was only three minutes XD), it was finally his turn.
Your eyes widen as you see who your next customer was. It was Mr. Jones, the restaurant’s most valuable customer (who was also the co-owner).
He was also the guy you just pushed earlier. You gulped. Shit.
His eyes narrowed. “Say,” he started. “Weren’t you the girl who pushed me a little while ago?”
You turned red with embarrassment. “I’m sorry! It’s just that I was—”
He laughed. “I’m just messing with you, babe.” He winked. “So, can I order now?”
You nodded, your cheeks only a light pink now. “Uhm, yeah sure.”
Al looked at the menu on the counter. “Hmm, I’ll order two burgers with drinks, please.”
You blinked at his order. “Well, that’s a lot of food, Mr. Jones.”
He grinned. “Well, I’ll be sharing it with someone, so don’t worry.”
Your heart sank when he said that. Probably his girlfriend, you thought. Your heart sank further. Honestly, you had formed a silly little crush on the blonde. Ever since you worked here you had always seen him, ordering food a few counters away. Today was the first time he ordered from your counter, actually. And you just had to shove him earlier… “Uhm, yeah. Here’s your order, sir.”
He smiled as he took the bag from you. “Thanks, babe.” And he walked away, you following him with your eyes. You see him approach your managers and you sigh. Snap out of it, (Name).
You were so focused on ignoring Alfred that you didn’t notice your manager stop in front of you.
“Hey, (Name).” he said. You didn’t respond. “(Name)!” he said, snapped a finger in front of you.
You flinched then looked at him. “Yes?”
He shook his head at you and you smile sheepishly. “Mr. Jones requested that you take the day off today.”
You blinked at him. “Eh?”
He grinned at you. “You have the day off. Go.”
“Thanks!” you said as you run off to change in the staff room. After changing, you run to the doors and was so close to opening them when a voice stopped you. “Aww, no thank you for me?”
You looked at the one who said that. It was Mr. Jones. You gulped. “O-oh…uhm, thank you, Mr. Jones.”
He laughed. “You’re too cute.” You blushed. He thought you were cute? “And please, call me Alfred.”
You nodded, still red on the face. “Okay…Alfred.” you slowly said his name, testing it.
Alfred blushed slightly. He liked how his name sounded coming from your mouth. He placed a hand on the back of his head. “Uhm…so,” he started, sounding too awkward in his ears. He mentally facepalmed. “Are you doing something today?”
You blushed. I-is…he…? you thought. “Uhm, no. I’m actually free today since I wasn’t expecting this day off.” You smiled at him, and his blush became more prominent.
“That’s great!” He fidgeted. “So,” he lifted the hand that was holding the bag. “Mind eating these with me?”
You smiled at him. “I would be honored.”
He grinned, mentally sighing in relief. “Great.” He took your hand and led you out. “C’mon then!”
He lead you to the park. He sat down on a bench and motioned for you to do the same.
“So, you said as you sat down and faced him. “Why did you break me out?”
He smirked, looking at the scenery in front of him. “You make it sound like it’s a prison or something.”
You stare at him blankly. “It kinda is.”
He stared back at you. “Oh.”
You guys just stared at each other for a while. You fidget; his stare was too intense. And those blue eyes were so gor—
“Hey! You didn’t answer my question,” you said blushing.
Alfred broke out if his daze with a blush. You were too mesmerizing. “Oh. Well, you looked like an awesome chick to eat burgers with, so why not?”
“After that, Daddy always busted me out of there,” you told your child, who had a smile on her face.
Al chuckled. “But the hero wasn’t always successful in busting out his damsel.”
“I’m sorry, sir, but she’s had too many day offs already!”
Al pouted. “Aww, c’mon, man! Just another day, please?”
The manager shook his head and walked away.
Alfred sighed and walked towards you, defeated. “Sorry, babe.”
You smiled at him. “It’s alright, Al. You tried.”
You chuckled. “Remember when you proposed?”
Al kissed you briefly. “How could I forget?”
You smiled at your boyfriend. “Ready to go?”
Without warning, Al suddenly knelt in front of you. “(Full Name), we’ve been together for four years now, and it’s all because of this place. I think it’s only right that I ask you this here. (Name), will you marry me?” he asked, holding out a ring.
Your hands flew to your mouth, your eyes filled with tears of Joy. “Oh god, yes, I’ll marry you, Al!” The entire restaurant was filled with applause and cheering.
Alfred got up and hugged you, pulling you into a passionate kiss. “Then you just made me the happiest man in the world.”
You looked at your child. She was already sleeping. “Oh well,” you whispered. “It was already time for her nap anyway.”
Wordlessly, Alfred scooped her up in his arms and walked to the direction of her room, you following.
When he was done tucking his daughter in, he came out to meet his waiting wife outside. “So,” he said, pinning you to the wall. “Wanna relive our wedding night~?”
